Materials: baking soda, white hair conditioner (cheap from the dollar store), large bowl for mixing
Directions: Measure 2.5 cups of baking soda and pour into a bowl, add 1/2 white hair conditioner and mix together. You can hide objects in it such as plastic ornaments and have them feel around for it.
This tactile activity may be engaging for our clients that enjoys sensory play. They can assist with scooping, measuring, and pouring ingredients, as well as help mixing it with a spoon. This helps with reach and grasp, wrist rotation, strengthening UEs and provides tactile stimulation.
