Materials: Crayons/Markers/Colored pencils, glue, scissors, attached template, ribbon, optional: glitter, buttons
Directions: Print out the gingerbread house template and allow clients to color them, choose a variety of colors, add glitter and buttons if desired. Cut out, fold and glue along the lines, add the hanger tab if you wish to make an ornament.
This is a take on gingerbread house decorating for our clients that does not involve food. Encourage them to pick out colors and use active grasp to make marks/scribbles, different colors on each side, be creative. Cut along the lines, use HOH assist to fold along the lines and apply glue to the tabs to assemble it together.
