Materials: Printout, scissors, yarn/string, hole puncher, paint (optional)
Directions: Cut out each of the letters and hole punch twice on top. Optionally, on the sheets with the leaves, you can print extra and have the clients each take a leaf, and finger-paint it or stamp their handprint on it for a personal touch. Thread the string through the whole word and hang it up.
This activity is a good reminder for Thanksgiving and adds the personal touch of each client. This helps with hand strengthening when you provide HOH assist to grasp and squeeze the hole puncher, as well as bilateral coordination to grasp onto each letter and thread the string through. It gives tactile stimulation to finger-paint or stamp their handprint into the leaves and provides visual stimulation with variety of fall colors when hung.
